Mary L. Keintz, age 57, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Pastor Steve Anderson will officiate. Music will be provided by Vicki Krucker as organist with Kayla Mohling and Aleen Fisher as vocalists. The family is requested to meet at the church by 1:30 p.m. for a family prayer service.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. and also prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mary's nieces: Kim Monaghan, Jenna Massie, Shayla Engen, Kylee Williamson and Hailey Rosenlund. Active pallbearers will be Mary's nephews: Lance Keintz, Casey Hershman, Brandon Rosenlund, Jordan Rosenlund, Travis Loof, Brady Hershman, Chris Loof, Zachary Rosenlund and Nicholas Rosenlund.
Mary was born on September 6, 1961, to Verlyn and Rose (Smith) Keintz in Ft. Monmouth, NJ. Verlyn later married Debra Waack, who was a very special person in Mary's life. She was a 1979 graduate of Hamlin High School in Hayti, SD and also a graduate of Dakota State College in Madison, SD with a business degree. Mary then moved to Watertown and had been working at Midcom/Wurth Electronics as an accountant.
She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown for many years, and a member of Rita Club. Mary was very active in Watertown Softball organizations. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, and enjoyed scrap booking and bowling. Her love for her grandchildren and the time she spent with them and the rest of her family was what she cherished most.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Bryce) Hemiller of Watertown, SD; three grandchildren: Parker, Brooklyn and Isabelle; two sisters, Teresa (Paul) Rosenlund of Delano, MN and Vicki (Jeff) Hershman of Watertown, SD; brothers-in-law, Maloy (Denise) Loof of Watertown, SD and James Weiers of Savage, MN; her aunt, Shirley Plant; her uncle, Jerry (Lois) Keintz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Katherine and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
