Roxanne O'Brien Obituary
Roxanne Marie O'Brien, age 68, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at a local care center. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Scott Dempster will officiate. The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 10:30 a.m. for a family prayer service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday at the chapel, prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Jenkins Living Center and the Hospice Staff. Active pallbearers will be: John Hein, Joe O'Byrne, John O'Byrne, Lonnie Hawthorne, Laura Noll and Derek Washburn.
Roxanne was born on September 29, 1951, to Thomas and Stella (Engels) O'Byrne, in Watertown. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High, NE, in 1969. Roxanne worked as a customer service representative her whole life, retiring from Capital Card in 2017. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Roxanne is survived by her son, Adam Nielsen, of Omaha, NE; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers: James (Annette) O'Byrne of St. Cloud, MN, Rich (Barb) O'Byrne of Watertown, SD, Jeff Mohr (Barbara Howard) of Grand Island, NE and Kelly Mohr of Sioux Falls, SD; and her sisters, Judy Hein of Watertown, SD, Jackie (John) Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD, Rita Mier of Grand Island, NE and Pat Washburn (Gene Maines) of Grand Island, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Richard Nielsen.
