Wanda Jones Obituary
Wanda S. (Mrs. Allan) Jones, age 69, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at the local hospital. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Services will be led by Jodi Engels. The family is requested to meet by 10:30 a.m. at the chapel.
Wanda was born on April 29, 1949, to Roland and Frances (Frye) Hayes, in Redfield, SD. After graduating from Redfield High School, Wanda attended Stewarts Cosmetology School.
On January 25, 1968, Wanda was united in marriage to Allan Jones in Redfield. The couple lived in DeSmet and later moved to various towns in the Redfield/Doland areas. She worked at the Redfield Beauty Shop and later had her own beauty shop in her home in Doland. They lived in Doland for numerous years before moving to Watertown for their retirement years, and where they have continued to live. Wanda enjoyed her flowers, gardening, canning, crocheting, sewing and playing Bingo.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Allan of Watertown, SD; her children: Teresa Jones of Sioux Falls, SD, Tracy (Devon) Nogelmeier of Watertown, SD and Terri (Alan) Tritt of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren: Tylar Cole, Paige Nogelmeier, Samantha Nogelmeier, Kaleb Tritt and Kori Manzanares; one brother, Keith (Linda) Hayes of Hill City, SD and one sister, Pam (Larry) Merxbauer of Parkston, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Jayd Cole, two sisters, Pat Graham and Donna Warren and one brother, Frenchie Hayes.
