Arnette Ritzema Obituary
Arnette L. Ritzema, age 65, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at the Huron Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday at our chapel, prior to the service, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Arnette L. Ritzema was born on August 8, 1955, in Watertown, SD, to Raymond and Donna (Connor) Cotton. She grew up in Ortley, SD, and graduated from Waubay High School. Arnette spent the majority of her life in Watertown, SD, where she raised her children while working several years at the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. She later went to work seasonally at Schulz Foods at the turkey plant in Sisseton, SD, while being a homemaker and raising her children. Arnette loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed sitting in her chair watching movies, doing puzzle books and playing bingo and other games on her phone. She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Tesch, Watertown, SD, Colleen Vazquez, Sioux Falls, SD, Vickie (Wesley Kelly) Cotton, Mitchell, SD, Cindy (Oliver Armentrout) Cotton, Huron, SD; her grandchildren: Randy Cotton, Alexander (Paige) Cotton and their children: Epiphany, Ryker and Raini, Seth Thennis, his son, Braeden and significant other, Leann Hoffard, Christian Thennis and his significant other, Xhio Rios, Isaiah Thennis, Alysia Vazquez, Cassie Cotton, Curtis Thennis, James Cotton Jr., Amy Cotton, Jayden Mace, Ashley Cotton,
Slater Kelley and Dillion Kelly;
her brother, Roger (Carol) Cotton, Ortley, SD;
and her sisters, Bonnie Cotton and Shirley (Fred) Wittrock, both of Watertown, SD. Arnette was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene O'Riley and Rexall Ritzema; her parents; her brothers, Edward Cotton and infant brother, James Cotton and great niece, Brandy Cotton.
