Bernard Pitman Obituary
Bernard Vincent Pitman, 76, of Watertown, SD passed away November 1, 2020 due to complications from Covid.
Bernie was born July 27, 1944 to Larry and Ruth Vincent in DeSmet, SD.
He attended DeSmet High School. Bernie farmed, hauled cattle, and auctioneered. He was employed at various places over the years: Olin, Loken's Sales Pavillion, Hamlin County Weed Department, and Terex Telelect. Bernie loved to share jokes and stories with anyone who would listen and would get a twinkle-in-his-eye as he told them.
His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by those who knew him. Having shared his life includes: his daughter, Lori Miller, Lake Poinsett; granddaughter, Taylor Miller, Madison; grandson, Cole (Lezlie) Miller, Rapid City; friend of 35 years, Jylan Flood, Porter, MN; and his special companion, Nancy Burton, Watertown. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. At Bernie's request, no services will be held.
A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
