Betty L. (Mrs.Larry) Kieso, age 81, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at her residence. Private Family funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Lamar Whittemore will officiate. This will be Live-Streamed on our website.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Mike Kieso, Rick Kieso, Danny Kieso, Adam Lauseng and Jim Olverson.
Betty was born on February 27, 1939, to Donald and Erlene (Olverson) Tumbleson, in Clark, SD. After graduating from Thorpe Consolidated, she attended Business School in Aberdeen, SD.
On January 28, 1961, Betty was united in marriage to Larry Kieso in Watertown. At the time she was working at Park Grant. After staying at home raising her children, Betty started working for Jordan Millwork and later as a secretary for Hoftiezer Real Estate. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Watertown. She enjoyed baking and cooking.
Betty is survived by her husband, Larry of Watertown; her children, Debbie (Brad) Lauseng of Watertown, SD and Bob Kieso of Aberdeen, SD; one grandson, Adam Lauseng; one great-grandchild, Jackson Gebhart; and two sisters, Sharon (Roger) Peterson of Orion, IL and Connie Walburg of Sioux Falls, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald, Jr.
