David A. Hannasch

David A. Hannasch, age 41, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at his residence.  Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate.  Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins, and beautiful nephews: Brysen and Breven.

Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.

David was born on April 25, 1980, in Watertown to Tony Hannasch and Julie (Just) O’Leary. He attended school in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1998. David attended Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls for Business Administration. He worked at Cigna for 19 years, and was currently employed at E-surance in Sioux Falls. 

David was a car fanatic, remembering events by the car he drove. He loved Minions, episodes of Roseanne, watching movies, shopping for clothes and shoes, and board games.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his nephews, and long walks with his dogs.

David is survived by his significant other, Dylan Burggraff; his parents: Tony (Pam Foss) Hannasch, and Julie (Bill) O’Leary; one brother, Zachery (Alyssa Podhradsky) LaQua; Zachery’s father, Donnie LaQua; two nephews, Brysen LaQua and Breven Protas; his grandmother, Rita Hannasch; his aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and his canine companion, Kayven.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Mable Just; his grandfather: Marvin Hannasch; one aunt: Cindy Weinkauf; one uncle: Phillip Hannasch; one cousin: Dominic Hannasch; and his beloved canines: Tyzen, Baylee, and Baxter.
