Donna Bradshaw Obituary

Donna M. Bradshaw, age 89, of Watertown SD, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Watertown. She was the widow of Dale Bradshaw. Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Hosanna Lutheran Church. Pastor Janine Rew-Werling and Pastor Craig Werling will officiate. Music will be provided by Angie Eickmeyer as organist with the Hosanna Choir. The family is requested to meet at the church by 10:00 a.m. for a family prayer service.

Visitation will be at Hosanna Lutheran Church on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday, prior to the service. Arrangements by Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Bradshaw, Colin Bradshaw and PEO Sisters. Active pallbearers are Sam Lee and Aaron Lee.

Donna was born to Rudolph and Nancy (Berg) Olson on March 22, 1930 in Hamlin County, where she lived and grew up on the family farm. Donna worked for the government ASCS office for two years when she met the love of her life, Dale Bradshaw. They were united in marriage on August 12, 1951. To this union three children were born: Steven, Scott and Rebecca. During their 66 year marriage, Donna and Dale enjoyed family time at their home on Lake Kampeska, winter vacations in Scottsdale, the Minnesota Twins and spoiling their grandchildren.

She was a charter member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. She taught confirmation, Sunday school and Bible school. She sang in the adult choir for forty years and directed the Cherub Choir. Donna was a member and past President of WELCA and Priscilla Circle. She held several Coteau Conference positions and belonged to the Be Friender Ministry.

She was a member and past President of Chapter B.Q., P.E.O. She was also a long-time member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Codington County Republican Women.

Donna loved and served the Lord.

Donna is survived by two of her three children, Scott (Robin) Bradshaw of Bridgeport, CT and Rebecca (Donald) Lee of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Denise Bradshaw of Albany, MN; and sisters Ardell (Gerald) Dede of Watertown, SD, Beverly (William) Linneman of Watertown, SD and Luella (Walter) Abbott of Bismarck, ND.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven; her husband Dale; her parents; her brothers Raymond, Mac, Quinton and Lloyd; and her sisters, Rosella, Lorraine and Judith.
