Jason “Riggy” Morris was born April 15, 1971 in Canby, MN to Kent and Darlene (Spanton) Morris. He attended and graduated from Clear Lake High School in the class of 1989. After high school Jason moved to Watertown, SD.
In 1995, Jason married Dondra Eilers and to this union they had two sons, Dylan and Jaydon. (The light of his life). Jason worked at a few places most known for Old Home Bakery, Dakota Bodies and Tru Green; however, most notably his Foxy’s, Willy’s, and Ringo’s family.
Jason lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed many things. He had a passion for cooking, always coming up with wacky ideas which somehow always came out delicious. Jason was an avid golfer and always talked about the day he could finally play from the seniors tees and really “tear it up”. The Minnesota Vikings were always on TV. Jason always swore it was going to be their year; maybe they will fire the coaching staff for him. His two sons were always referred to him as his two best friends, and most importantly, the light of his life. He always recalled the two best days of his life is when they were born. He loved them to the moon and back and did everything he could to see them smile. Speaking of smiles, Jason was always wearing one usually followed by an infectious laugh and the warmest hugs. Jason was always there for everyone, a great dad, son, brother and friend. His life motto is keep faith and keep smiling and he lived by this all the way up to his final days.
Grateful for sharing his life are his two sons, Dylan (Maddie Kliebert) Morris, Watertown, SD, Jaydon Morris, Watertown, SD; parents, Kent and Darlene Morris, Clear Lake, SD; one brother, Cody (Bobbi Jo) Morris, Canby, MN; two nieces, Natalie Morris, Rapid City, SD, Abigail (Justin) Jelen, Alexandria, MN; one nephew, Nathan Morris, Sioux Falls, SD; and aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Hazel Spanton, Bob and Vera Mae Morris; uncles, Wayne Morris, David Larsen and Larry Peterson.
