Jeffrey Christensen Obituary
Jeffrey L. Christensen, age 66, of Watertown, SD, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Private family services will be held October 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown.
Burial will be at Osceola Cemetery in Marvin, SD. Jeff was born on April 28, 1954 in Sisseton, SD to Elmer and Hazel (Hollen) Christensen.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Jeff graduated from Summit High School in 1972 and South Dakota State in 1977 with a degree in Dairy Science. After graduating he held many positions in the dairy field in different parts of the country and then was a sales representative for Ecolab in Santa Claus, Indiana before moving to Watertown, SD and retiring.
On May 23, 1981, Jeff married Kim Vande Bossche of Edgemont, SD.
The couple lived in Rapid City, SD, Le Mars, IA, White Bear Lake, MN, Santa Claus, IN and finally Watertown, SD.
Jeff enjoyed all sports, repairing anything and everything, but his greatest joy was spending time with family,
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kim; son, Kevin (Molly Cooper) Christensen of McCordsville, IN; three daughters, Candida Snider of Columbus, OH; Chassidy Sieveke of Rapid City, SD; and Joani Christensen of Houston, TX; two brothers, Jerry (Arlis) Christensen of Wilmot, SD; Dale (Diane) Christensen of Watertown, SD; sisters-in-law, Ardelle Christensen of Owatonna, MN; Carol (John) Hirsch of Vero Beach, FL; Jane (Jim) Bailey of East Peoria, IL; Julie (Charles) Russell of Las Cruces, NM; Mary (Doug) Rose of Gillette, WY; brothers-in-law, Robert Green of Sioux Falls, SD; Dick (Jill) Vande Bossche of Sidney, MT; Matt (Karla) Vande Bossche of Lusk, WY; along with four grandsons, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hazel (Hollen) Christensen; brothers, Gordon Christensen and Maurice (Toby) Christensen; sister, Audrey Green (Christensen) and son-in-law Mark Snider.
