Judith "Judy" A. Eide

Judith “Judy” A. Eide, age 63, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Steve Biswell will officiate.

Visitation will be at the chapel on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Honorary urnbearers will be Judy’s nieces and nephews.

Judy was born on August 26, 1959, to Orville and Edith (Hammer) Eide, in Lake Preston, SD. She attended school in Bryant, SD and graduated from Hamlin School in 1977. Judy helped on the family farm and worked for Rural Water Pipeline. In 1980 she moved to Madison and worked at the hospital and then at Bethel Lutheran Home as a nurse’s aide. Judy loved taking care of and helping people. She then moved to Watertown and worked at Jenkins Care Center and the Human Service Agency. Judy took courses through Mt. Marty to become a school counselor.

Some of her hobbies were going to the car races at Casino Speedway, drawing, coloring, watching birds, reading, volleyball, crocheting, latch hook and watching the Denver Broncos. Judy loved being outdoors and being barefoot. She loved cows and cats. Judy was full of life, always had a smile on her face. She was big hearted and kind, friendly to whoever she met, a wonderful woman, good friend and loving mother and grandmother. People were privileged and blessed to know her. Judy was a special loving amazing woman.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Miranda Eide (fiancé Ryan Alwin); three grandchildren, Audrey, Jaxon, and Harper; two brothers, Ray (Donna) Eide of Lake Norden, SD and Ed (Tess) Eide of Watertown, SD; two sisters, Marcella Johnson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kathy Eide of Watertown, SD; her sister-in-law, Jeanine Eide of Watertown, SD; her nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Martin Eide, and her niece, Anna Brown.
