Kristi Henley Obituary
Kristi K. Henley, age 49, of Kansas City, MO and formerly of Watertown, SD, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, due to complications from a medical procedure. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Reverend Randy Eisenbeisz will officiate. Services will be live- streamed on our website.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at our chapel.
Burial will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Hayti, SD. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristi's grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be: Terek Henley, Chais Henley, Brian Pearson, Mark Mathis, Ron Gill and John Huppler.
Kristi K. Henley was born on April 6, 1971 to Roger and Audrey (Block) Pearson, in Watertown. She was a graduate of Watertown High School. Kristi married Tim Henley on August 19, 1989 at Lutheran Church of our Redeemer. The couple resided and farmed in Hayti, SD. Kristi attended and received her cosmetology license from LATI and worked as a stylist for many years in Watertown. She then moved to Omaha, NE and worked for the Regis Corporation as a regional manager until opening Hair FX in Omaha. In 2007 she returned to Watertown and opened Prestige Salon where she worked until moving to Kansas City, MO in 2010. While there she worked at various salons as a master stylist.
Kristi enjoyed living on the farm, hunting and farming with Tim, taking trips to the ocean and attending car races. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She had a zest for life right up until she passed away. But her passion was doing hair and make-up for both her clients and herself.
Kristi is survived by her husband, Tim Henley, of Kansas City, MO; her children: Kelsey Henley (Ron Gill) of Omaha, NE; Terek Henley (Taylor Beckham) Kansas City, MO; Chais Henley and Delaney Henley of Kansas City, MO; her six grandchildren: Lucas, Christopher, Charlie, River, Ranger and Hudson; her mother, Audrey Pearson, Watertown, SD; her brother; Brian (Jill) Pearson, Toronto, SD and her sisters: Cindy (John) Huppler, Florence, SD; Michelle Pearson, Watertown, SD; Amy (Mark) Mathis, Tampa, FL and Jodi Pearson, Webster, SD.
Kristi was preceded in death by her father.
