As an adult she received her GED which she took great pride in this accomplishment. On November 10, 1960, LaVonne was united in marriage to Leonard Splinter in Watertown. She also achieved her goal by getting her realtor license.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Lavonne enjoyed reading, bird watching, puzzles and collecting Beanie Babies. Her most special times were spent with her grandchildren.
