Marian E. Trumm, age 93, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2019.

She was the widow of Milton Trumm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Pastor Eldon Reich will officiate. The family is requested to meet by 1:30 p.m. at the chapel for a family prayer service. Visitation will be at the chapel on Friday. The family will be receiving friends between 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be all the younger members of Marian's family. Marian was born in Thomas, SD, on October 30, 1925, to Floyd and Hattie (Smith) Knight. She grew up with two brothers and one sister. She graduated from Thomas High School and earned a music degree from Huron College, in Huron, SD.

Marian was united in marriage to Milton Trumm on August 25, 1946 at her family farm home near Thomas, SD. Marian and Milton farmed in the communities of Vienna, Watertown and Hazel, SD.

After retirement they lived in Watertown, SD and later in Eureka, SD. To their union four children were born, a son and three daughters.

They were dedicated to family and loved attending all activities in which the family participated. Marian dedicated her life to sharing her love of music by teaching music in schools and at churches. She taught music to young people from Kindergarten to High School and had a magical way of making music fun for all.

Marian shared her music in many small schools in northeastern South Dakota, ending her career in the Hamlin School District as the band and vocal music instructor for 15 years.

Marian was also very active in her church as a choir director and pianist throughout her life time.

Many lives were touched as she shared her Christian faith through her music to her community. Most importantly she shared her love of music and its importance with her husband and family. She will always be remembered for being able to play any song without sheet music after listening to it just once. Marian is survived by her daughters: Linda (Paul) Strosky, Rhona (Charles) Glaesman, and Lana (Jack) Nesbit; Grandchildren:

Tamra Covington, Tara (Rob) Neumayr, Elisa (Stephen) Salmon, Chad (Karmen) Glaesman, Travis (Julie) Struckman, Erik (Kristen) Cyre, Jason (Patricia) Glaesman, Lucas (Brittany) Glaesman; Great grandchildren:
