Patrick Phillip Pedersen, age 46, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Pastor Randy Eisenbeisz will officiate. The funeral service will be live-streamed.
Visitation will be in Hayti, SD at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Friday, July 31, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
There will be a private family burial at the Danish Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Chris Sorrell, Ryan Jutting, Josh Raw, Jody Lemme, Dan Poppen, Troy Kruse and Jon Anderson.
Pat was born on November 20, 1973 in Estelline, SD, to Phillip and Roberta (Koistinen) Pedersen. He attended elementary school in Wisconsin, and then finished high school at Hamlin High School in Hayti, SD. He was president of the class of 1992, participated in school and state wrestling tournaments, and participated in band and choir. Pat was a member of the Bad Boyz Ski Team, skiing in competitions and performing around the state. Pat worked at Weiland Marine at Lake Poinsett during high school, and Brookings Marine after attending some classes at the University of Wisconsin.
On July 25, 1998, Patrick married Lisa Marie Jutting at the Hayti Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on the north bay of Lake Albert with their twin sons, Cole and Carson. He worked at Doug’s Anchor Marine in Watertown for over twenty years. Pat also started his own small engine repair shop on Lake Poinsett for three years.
Pat loved the outdoors. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, fishing and hunting. He loved being around people, always had a big smile on his face, and made people laugh. Pat also loved music.
Pat is survived by his former wife of 22 years, Lisa Pedersen, Hayti, SD; his children, Carson Pedersen and Cole Pedersen, of Hayti, SD; his grandmother Valda Olson, of Lake Norden, SD; his mother, Roberta Pedersen of Volga, SD; his step-mother, Suzie (Brad) Carr of Custer SD; his brother, Tony (Vereena) Pedersen of Watertown, SD; his sister, Dacia (Chris) Sorrell of Surprise, AZ; and seven nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Pedersen.
