Sharon Yonker Obituary
Sharon Yonker, age 75, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020, in the comfort of her home.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be at Zion Kellerton Cemetery in Hazel, SD.
Sharon was born in Granite City, IL, on August 16, 1945, to Raymond and Beulah (Pyatt) O'Dell. She attended and graduated high school in Granite City.
She was united in marriage to John W. Yonker on February 20, 1965. The couple later relocated to Bryant, SD, to be closer to John's family and for work. During this time Sharon was a homemaker and raised the couple's five children along with all of her grandchildren.
In her free time, Sharon loved arts and crafts of all kinds.
Sharon is survived by her children: Tammy Al-Hamdani, Melissa (Jason W) Ackerman, both of Watertown, SD, John (Jackie) Yonker, Lake Norden, SD, Randy (Crystal) Yonker and Tracy (Crystal D) Yonker, both of Bryant, SD; twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Carolyn (Don) Hofland, Altamont, SD; her sisters-in-law, Karen Geiman, of Sioux Falls, SD and Frances O'Dell of Estelline, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Yonker; her parents, Raymond and Beulah O'Dell; her infant daughter, Darla Yonker; three brothers and four sisters.
Private family services will be held.
