Steven Allard Obituary
Steven Allard, age 63, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020, at his home with his loved ones by his side. Celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Watertown on April 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Steve was born April 4, 1956, in Rapid City, SD, to Ira "Ross" and Bessie (Woods) Allard. He attended school in Rapid City, SD, and Bowman, ND. He joined the Navy in 1974, was deployed overseas and stationed in Vietnam.
After serving his country he was Honorable Discharged. He later attended Lake Area Technical School for Mechanics.
Steven met and was then united in marriage to Jody (Skaare) Keeler in 1982. They moved to Bowman, ND where he had worked in the oil fields. After returning to Watertown, Steve worked at various manufactures. He was employed long term with Minnesota Rubber and most recently at East Point as a maintenance technician. Due to his health Steve retired in November of 2019.
Steve enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, biking, listening to music, watching the Minnesota Vikings and gambling. He lived life to the fullest by always staying busy. He took pleasure
helping friends whenever they called.
He is survived by his son Terrance (Jamie Schlaht) Allard, along with his grandchildren Trey, Kat and Sloane Allard of Hazel, SD; his son Joseph (Hunter Rhody) of Watertown, SD; Ex-wife Jody Keeler (Robert Weeks) and Steve's companion Nancy Moder all from Watertown, SD; sister Teri (Rollie) Kniepsal of Piedmont, SD; sister Jerry DesChamp and brother Dave (Dahna), both from Rapid City, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary Allard.
