Wayne Langendorfer Obituary

Wayne Ward (Bud) Langendorfer, Jr. was born April 18, 1928 to Wayne and Minna (Grahlmann) Langendorfer.

Wayne passed away on December 3, 2020 at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown of natural causes.

Wayne grew up on the family farm across from the Foley Elevator and attended the one-room country school house across the road.

He married Mary Winjum on February 3, 1951.

He was drafted into the army in 1951 and returned home in 1953. Wayne farmed for many years with his father and brother.

After he quit farming, he worked in Watertown for various companies such as Powder River, Dakota Seed and Grain, and Dakota Poultry until his retirement.

Wayne enjoyed playing music on his guitar or harmonica and taking long walks in his neighborhood.

His biggest grins could be seen when he was holding his grandchildren. Wayne and Mary enjoyed their vacations visiting family and friends in Iowa and California.

They especially enjoyed their extended trips to North Carolina to spend time with their daughter and grandchildren.

He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in1967 and was a faithful member of the Watertown Congregation.

He enjoyed sharing his Bible-based hope of seeing the earth restored to a paradise.

A memorial service (via Zoom and YouTube) will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
