William Frank Snow, age 83, of Watertown, SD, passed away very peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021, in Chaska, MN. After recently battling several illnesses, he was healed when the Lord took him to his heavenly home through faith in Jesus Christ, his Savior. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Watertown. Pastor Iver Possehl will officiate. Music will be provided by Paula Hulscher along with congregational singing. The family will gather at the church at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The service will be Live-Streamed via Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel Facebook page and also recorded and uploaded on our You Tube page when available. Masks are encouraged for both the funeral service and visitation.
Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill’s grandsons: Josh Snow, Dean Snow, Brent Snow, Ben Snow, Jacob Lenz, Isaac Snow and Caleb Sullivan.
Bill was born on August 3, 1937 to Carroll and Maxine (Page) Snow in Watertown, SD. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD.
On September 22, 1956, Bill was united in marriage to Myrna Rasmussen in Howard. Bill and Myrna lived in numerous communities and states before moving to Watertown in 1973 and had lived here since then.
Bill was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church where he held various offices throughout the years. He also served the Lutheran Laymen League, the Cosmopolitan Club, the Golden Age Service Club of Watertown and the Watertown Senior Activities Center for many years.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, croquet, choir and square dancing. He enjoyed many special times with his children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his children: Scott (Debra) Snow of Wichita, KS, Curtis (Julie) Snow of Berlin, WI, Richard (Valorie) Snow of Seward, NE, Gregory (Connie) Snow of Chaska, MN, Deanne (Karl) Sullivan of Sioux Falls, SD; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Marie Turner of Boise, ID; and sister-in-law, June Snow of Watertown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, (Jack Snow), brother-in-law, (Don Turner), grandson-in-law, (Adam Vaudt) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
