What To Do
Gary D. “Tundra” Goble, age 52, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, doing what he loved, riding motorcycle. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019, at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Watertown. Rev. Paul Kimball will officiate. The family is requested to meet at the church on Friday by 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service.
Visitation will be at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Friday.
There will be no burial. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary’s sons: Brandon, John and Gunnar Goble. Active pallbearers will be Gary "Smooze" Haight, John Steele, Mark Jordan, Aaron Johnson, Wes Hagen and Pat "Toto" Byrns.
Gary was born on September 28, 1966, in Petersburg, Alaska, to James Goble and Louise Haeldane. His family moved to Watertown, SD, in 1982, where he later graduated from Watertown High School.
On November 19, 2017, Gary married Pam Dixon at the Encounter Church in Watertown. Tundra worked a variety of different jobs including shingling, Terex and Woods Edge. He spent the last 12 years working as a Sanitation Engineer at the landfill for the City of Watertown.
Gary was a member of the Sons of Silence motorcycle club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was fond of anything that had to do with motorcycles. He was very devoted to his family and found joy in anything that involved his children.
Gary is survived by his wife, Pam of Watertown, SD; his children, Brandon Goble of Ft. Collins, CO, and John and Gunnar Goble of Jefferson, IA; his parents, James and Sharon Goble of Watertown, SD; his brother, Elroy Edenshaw of Seattle, WA; and two sisters, Becky Nelson and Donna (Lynn) Johnson of Watertown, SD.
Gary was preceded in death by his biological mother, Louise; his sister, Kimberly Anderson; his Grandma and Grandpa Goble and Grandma and Grandpa Mack Murphy; and his uncle, John Goble.
