Andrew “Andy” J. McBride, age 50, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Public funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel. Rev. Iver Possehl will officiate. The service will be Live-Streamed. The family is requested to meet at the chapel by 10:00 a.m. for a family prayer service.
Visitation will be prior to the service at the chapel on Saturday.
Burial will be at Tabor Lutheran Cemetery in Strandburg, SD. Pallbearers will be: Michael Gulden, Hunter McBride, Steven Gamber, Patrick Gamber, Tim Gamber and Bill Moe.
Andy was born on May 5, 1970, to Robert and Zada (Erickson) McBride, in Milbank, SD. After graduating from Clear Lake High School, Andy worked at various jobs in the Watertown area. He had been a paint prep laborer at Esco Signs in Watertown for quite some time before his health forced him to quit.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Andy enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs and reading comic books, especially Star Wars, of which he has a huge collection of. He enjoyed watching Criminal Minds.
Andy is survived by his mother, Zada Spitzack of Faribault, MN; his brother, Mark McBride of Crystal, MN; and 4 sisters: Debbie Gulden of Monroe, SD, Michelle Vo of Ocean Springs, MS, Melody Tran of Mesquite, TX and Sandy (Tim) Gamber of Marion, SD.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, James McBride.
